CT Campus Compact VISTA

Connecticut Campus Compact (CTCC) is a statewide consortium of 28 college and university presidents committed to developing the civic skills of students, building partnerships with the community and integrating civic engagement. Our AmeriCorps VISTA program was developed in 2008 to address the local needs of low-income communities and to be a mechanism for community change. The CT Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA Program places VISTA members on campus and community host sites in order to create, expand, or enhance projects that lift people out of poverty. Through their work, our VISTAs will develop sustainable connections and build the capacity of community and campus partners to address poverty-related community needs. Our AmeriCorps VISTA Program has three focus areas: 1) education 2) economic opportunity and 3) healthy futures.
