MedServe Fellowship
 
 
 
MedServe is a two-year program in primary care. We see a future where every future health provider starts his or her medical education seeing the full potential of great community-based primary care. Our mission is to immediately improve the health of communities and vitality of primary care practices while exposing tomorrow’s most promising future providers to the great potential for community impact possible through primary care practice in “medically underserved” communities. For too long, medical education has largely been separated from the transformative work being done in smaller communities. Our Fellows live and serve in those communities. At primary care clinics, they assist in the delivery of primary care health services and community health outreach.

Member Duties : Fellows spend half of their time assisting in the delivery of key primary care services in a "clinical role." They spend the other half of their time engaged in community health work, where projects can include outreach, education or other "big picture" impact work on community health.
