SPARKBright After-School Coordinator
 
 
 
This member will serve in a dual role as a SPARK Early Literacy tutor and a SPARKBright Coordinator. The SPARKBright After-School curriculum focuses on social emotional learning conceptsm such as self-awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Social emotional learning is an important component of early development and can often impact a child's ability to learn and understand new academic concepts. Two part time (30 hours per week) AmeriCorps membesr will tutor 3-4 students in early literacy concepts and oversee the SPARKBright SEL After-School program at one school site. This AmeriCorps member will assist with developing SPARKBright materials and curriculum, training tutors and other staff members, leading SPARKBright lessons with children in grades K-3rd and coordinating with other Club/school staff to address the needs of populations served.
