BGC of Kern County College Is Possible Coordinator

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Boys & Girls Club of Kern County serves those who otherwise would not have opportunities for academic success, struggling students from low income, disadvantaged homes from the Bakersfield area. This program focuses on middle and high school grade level students. Our goal is to make entrance into post-secondary education a reality those who otherwise would not have the opportunity by fostering a college going culture. Some participants will be the first in their family to graduate from high school and are from low income families. For more information on the importance about Boys & Girls Clubs of Kern County visit our website at www.bgclubsofkerncounty.org. The goal of the program in year two is to increase our program’s ability to serve more people, serve new groups of people, or provide new or expanded types of service.
