MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership (MENTOR) is the unifying champion for expanding the quality and quantity of youth mentoring relationships in the United States. For more than 25 years, MENTOR has served the mentoring field by providing a public voice; developing and delivering resources to mentoring programs nationwide; and promoting quality for mentoring through evidence-based standards, innovative research and essential tools. MENTOR supports a national network of affiliates that provide regional, state, and local leadership and infrastructure necessary to support the expansion of quality mentoring relationships.

Member Duties : The Marketing and Communications VISTA will work as part of the Marketing and Communications department in MENTOR’s national headquarters office in Boston, MA. This VISTA will play a key role in promoting the mentoring field and encouraging more adults to commit to engaging in the mentoring movement as mentors and supporters. The primary responsibilities of this position are to: Amplify the reach of MENTOR’s brand through affiliates and national partners; Increase the use and adoption of the Mentoring Connector, an online national mentor recruitment database by creating messaging, analyzing response metrics, and doing outreach with mentoring programs; and to Create content as part of MENTOR’s national public awareness campaign, In Real Life by writing content for blog posts and press releases, created social media guides, and creating and curating content for public awareness campaign.
