TMA Eastern WV Community Connection to Food Insecurity
 
 
 
The goal of ECCFI Project is to increase the likelihood of the food insecure completing education pathways to achieve better economic outcomes. The partners will create three new programs (Food pantry box, Student Food Program, and Grant for additional support of low-income community members) and enhance three existing projects (SNAP education program, Food Fellowship, and Community Food Outreach) in three years to provide food and access to food programs to these individuals so they can focus on academic or workforce education that will lead to new or better jobs in career pathways with secure economic futures.

Member Duties : •Work with the staff of the Potomac Highlands Producers to create and implement several strategies to bridge the college and the local community on food issues. •Develop and implement procedures and organization of a program to address student food insecurity. •Convene meetings with Eastern Community Action and other local organizations to grow formal partnerships to address poverty issues in the community • Will serve on a variety of committees in a support capacity. •Local travel required to attend professional development and job-related activities as directed.
