1Campus 1 Community at Millsaps College

Begun in 2006 as the reflection of Millsaps College's commitment to be good neighbors 1 Campus 1 Community VISTAs serve as a bridge between the College and Midtown, a low-income neighborhood which boarders campus. Our VISTAs build the capacity of Millsaps' student body to be an effective and dynamic volunteer organization as well as the capacity of local non-profits to make the most of those volunteers. With a focus on k-12 success, post-secondary success, and healthy futures, this position is ideal for anyone interested in volunteering with a community to improve the lives and futures of its families and residents.
