Religious Coalition, Emergency Need-UCC Partners in Service
 
 
 
The Religious Coalition serves people in Frederick County, Maryland by providing services to those who need food, those in danger of being evicted from their homes, those needing assistance with utility bills, those needing healthcare, dental care and prescriptions, and those who are homeless. People serve with the Religious Coalition through the United Church of Christ's national volunteer program, Partners in service, which has the goals of capacity building for community organizations, leadership development, vocational discernment and providing opportunities for people to share their gifts in service. approximately 75 people serve each year in short-term and long-term assignments within the United States through the Partners in Service program.

Member Duties : The Emergency Assistance Specialist at the Religious Coalition for Emergency Human Needs in Frederick, Maryland will be responsible for client interviews, assessments and the processing of gas and energy assistance as well as pharmaceutical and motel assistance - contact other social agencies as needed - assist with orientation and coordination of daily volunteers. Qualifications: Must be able to work with diverse client-base in a fast-paced office. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
