Climate Corps Education Outside 24-25
 
 
 
Climate Corps Education Outside Fellows lead garden-based science and environmental literacy education at a school for 11.5 months and work with students in grades K-5, serving a high percentage of low-income children and many English-language learners. Members will provide garden-based lessons that help students practice science and connect to the natural world, as well as build, maintain, and grow an effective, inviting, and productive garden classroom. Members will also build strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, communicate effectively about their work, and identify and support needs in the school community. Members receive 140 hours of facilitated training in teaching practice and pedagogy, outdoor classroom and garden design, tools for community engagement, and career development.
