2023-2024 Waukesha Free Clinic PHA

Waukesha Free Clinic is a clinic that has been serving Waukesha County for over three decades and whose mission is to support the health and well-being of uninsured, underinsured, and low-income friends and neighbors who reside, work, or attend school in the Waukesha County community. The AmeriCorps Member activities will increase access to healthcare to the low income and uninsured population by providing efficiencies and the groundwork of integral components to ensure sustainability of funding, volunteer staffing and the delivery of high-quality healthcare to the most vulnerable populations. The AmeriCorps Member will build capacity for the clinic by engaging in marketing and promoting the clinic, supporting clinic operations and engaging with volunteer coordination.

Member Duties : As a AmeriCorps Member at Waukesha Free Clinic. in Waukesha, WI you will gain professional experience by working to expand access to quality medical care for those who are underinsured or without medical insurance by: updating and streamlining the existing volunteer tracking system, update marketing materials and utilize Canva and other software to create materials for clinic programs, events, and mailings, revise procedures and policies for recruiting and retaining volunteers for clinic and general assistants, continuing to develop WFC's outreach via social media, support clinic operations through assisting with patient intake and chart preparation, patient and clinic staff support, and more.
