Arizona Serve-Yavapai Pride in Our Health Program Specialist
 
 
 
Yavapai County Community Health Services (YCCHS) is the health department in Yavapai County. Community Health Education (CHE) is a grant-funded section of Yavapai County Community Health Services that strives to better the health of the community through advocacy, education, programming, resources, and collaboration. To increase access to quality care for all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, CHE founded Yavapai Pride in Our Health.

Member Duties : The member will play an integral role in scheduling, creating agendas, and managing meetings for the Yavapai Pride in Our Health Coalition, a group of local community stakeholders working to improve health equity and access for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) community. They will develop educational materials and provide education to local healthcare providers and community members on the specific health needs of the LGBTQ+ community, monitor and review Pride in our Health Provider program applications, recruit new healthcare providers for the program, and keep the Healthy Yavapai “Health Equity” webpage up-to-date with current and relevant information about Pride Providers in Yavapai County.
