Arizona Serve- Maternal Child Health Outreach Specialist
 
 
 
Yavapai County Community Health Services (YCCHS) is the health department in Yavapai County. The mission of YCCHS states: "Yavapai County Community Health Services will provide leadership, information, and services that contribute to improving the health and well-being of Yavapai County residents." The AmeriCorps member will work with the Maternal and Child Health/WIC and Health Start programs, focusing on outreach and community engagement activities to support the health and well-being of pregnant and postpartum people, and children under the age of five.

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps member will build relationships with community partners, including OB/GYN clinics, pediatricians, libraries, childcare settings, and other organizations, to enhance access to maternal and child health services. They will design outreach materials, distribute them at community events, and regularly post on social media to effectively communicate the services and benefits of the Yavapai County Maternal and Child Health/WIC and Health Start programs. This role aims to improve access to healthcare and raise awareness of maternal and child health programs in the community.
