| Member Duties : Purchasing a home is the largest financial investment that most people will make. Making the decision to purchase a home when the purchaser is not ready or does not understand the impact of the purchase can turn out to be financially and emotionally disastrous. The recent foreclosure crisis put many homeowners at risk of foreclosure who might not have been if they had been better informed at the time they were considering purchasing a home.
The VISTA member who serves in this position will assist NHS' homeownership specialist in educating potential home owners so they make informed decisions about this all-important step in moving from renter to homeowner.
