VITAL Project - VISTAs Igniting The community to provide Access to Life. VISTAs serving to increase the capacity of The Arc Jacksonville by endeavoring to create new, sustainable services and supports to improve the economic well-being of individuals with mental health/intellectual/developmental disabilities (MH/I/DD). VISTA members engaged with Arc will be exposed to innovation, creativity and the reward of knowing lives have been changed and improved through their efforts. The Arc focuses on finding and offering services that are designed to lift out of poverty individuals with MH/I/DD and to prevent other individuals and families from falling into poverty. Members serve in volunteer program development, expanding employment opportunities and financial literacy, access to low income housing, research into best practices, program design/piloting, and marketing and development of resources.

Member Duties : Assist with agency data needs related to collection, input and analysis. Research and review best practices for staff training and curriculum for individuals with I/DD/MH. Work with existing committees and establish new relevant committees to better support the organization's strategic framework.
