Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin VISTA Leader
 
 
 
Habitat for Humanity’s vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Nearly 20% of Wisconsin residents pay more than 50% of their family income for housing. With an already large and increasing need for affordable housing in our state, the 37 local Habitat for Humanity affiliates in Wisconsin are working hard to address that need by partnering with low-income families to build, rehab or repair homes. The Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin VISTA program’s goal is to strengthen affiliates and increase their capacity. With passion, commitment, and hard work our VISTA members help affiliates as they bring individuals and communities out of poverty.

Member Duties : The VISTA Leader assists the HFH-WI state support organization as the VISTA intermediary. The Leader works out of our Milwaukee office and travels to HFH affiliates around the state (mileage reimbursement provided). The Leader works with the VISTA Program Director and to provide leadership to the WI VISTA team, improving the program and supporting VISTA team members with their service. Activities include recruiting quality VISTAs, planning and conducting member trainings, coordinating professional development opportunities, and providing assistance to members to review goals and assess progress. *Interviews done on a rolling basis. Submit application as soon as possible to ensure consideration. Selection may be made before deadline date posted*
