SHRA Sustainability Coordinator
 
 
 
The Sustainability Coordinator for the SHRA place based initiative will focus on providing support and facilitating access to services and resources that contribute to the improved economic well-being and security of economically disadvantaged people. Headquartered within the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency (SHRA), the lead agency for a Sacramento place based initiative, the individual in this position will promote neighborhood revitalization by creating destinations that are desirable for both living and working. They will help SBC partners, complete an assessment of current initiatives, plan, develop and implement strategies to improve the housing, economic, and poverty-eliminating programs within the Zone.

Member Duties : The VISTA member assigned to the Sustainably Built Communities partners will help coordinate the partners; employ strategies to strengthen community capacity to address gang involvement and create safe neighborhoods, expand art programs, and promote livability and connectivity within the Promise Zone. Member will help facilitate team meetings, attend community meetings, assess current programs and make recommendations to accomplish team goals.
