SerVermont VISTA Leader

SerVermont is part of Vermont’s Agency of Human Services. The SerVermont mission is to promote, support, and recognize volunteerism and community service throughout the state. Members in our VISTA program serve at community organizations and state agencies throughout Vermont that help alleviate poverty and improve the lives of Vermonters. Members build capacity in a wide variety of programs including employment, education, agricultural and food security initiatives, affordable housing and homelessness, and veteran services. In this role, you will plan monthly team trainings, conduct site visits, manage program communications, and provide support and resources for members throughout the year. The ideal candidate will have both strong people skills and strong organizational skills. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for increased responsibility and further experience in program management, leadership, communications, event organizing, team building and a wide variety of other nonprofit skills. VISTA Leaders must have completed at least one year with VISTA or AmeriCorps State or served with the Peace Corps.
