Through Private-Public-Partnerships, the 22 Promise Zones around the Country are actively helping drive the economy, jobs, and American growth we all strive to see a reality. Collectively, Promise Zones serve more than 1.3 million Americans with poverty rates ranging from 28 percent to as high as 50 percent. Will bring the Promise Zone together in a united, whole community approach that will provide an exemplary model for other tribes/communities to replicate. The goal Promise Zone VISTA is to combat poverty in the Turtle Mountains.

Member Duties : VISTA will complete Orientation through site and gain an understanding of what is expected throughout the year of service. Research and write for relevant grants to bring in more opportunities and promote project sustainability. Identify potential donations, both in kind resources and funding. Create and update inventory system to track current resources held by the food pantry. Create calendar of dates throughout year of service in which community members can get resources. Participate in all meetings and events designation by TM VISTA Project Staff.
