Academy Partnership VISTA

The vision of the Academy programming consists of creating equitable, accessible programming for youth in San Francisco. We will invest in ongoing programming to deepen our impact and roots in our community while simultaneously strengthening our DEI pipeline - on the field and in the Front Office. The concept of the Academy is to provide a safe space as a convening location in addition to baseball/softball training, creating a central, community meeting ground where San Francisco feels connected to the Giants outside of the ballpark. The programming would reach an older audience of players to help youth navigate accessibility obstacles. We aim to attract, grow, and retain talent from underrepresented minority (URM) groups. Programming will consist of baseball & softball training, High School Baseball & Softball Academy Teams, Middle School Baseball & Softball Academy Teams, a home for the CASE program, monthly Pipeline for Change sessions, monthly coaching/umpire/career clinics, monthly Baseball & Softball Clinics, monthly Giants Player visits, monthly Giants Coach visits, Giants Front Office visits, SFUSD College and Career Readiness sessions and Racial Equity and Access in Youth Sports Task Force.
