BYDC Communications Coordinator
 
 
 
BYDC (Bonneville Youth Development Coalition) is a nonprofit organization that works to lower substance use among youth in Bonneville County. We do this through promoting positive community involvement, collaboration and working towards creating a community culture free of substance use. Our organization serves all of Bonneville county reaching from Idaho Falls to Irwin. VISTA member will change the community culture of substance use through communications promoting an engaged community focused on lowering substance use among youth. Member will learn how to write a press release and enhance web design and creative writing skills. Member will help create sustainability for BYDC’s “It’s MY Future” and “Crap You Should Know” programs. Members will learn how to develop organizational polices, protocols and procedures. We are looking for someone who has experience creating social media content. Preferred experience with Canva and Wix. BYDC would love to have you on board to help us lower substance use among youth and help us make this community a better, safer place.

Member Duties : Develop communication protocols for BYDC T.E.A.M.s to provide support for T.E.A.M. members and community partners. Ensure community members, coalition members and media entities are informed, involved and engaged when it comes to lowering substance use in the community. Ensure branding, messages and external content is current, consistent and reflects the mission and goals of BYDC. Share and post data, facts, statistics and information directed towards youth education. Work with BYDC to create program sustainability for “It’s My Future” and “Crap You Should Know” programs.
