Idaho Harm Reduction Project
 
 
 
Support the largest harm reduction program in the state to improve and expand the services it provides to people who use drugs in Idaho. The VISTA will develop partnerships with health, public health, employment and self-reliance organizations across the state and develop training for organizational partners to include: harm reduction 101, eliminating drug user stigma in the health care and human services settings, and foster programs and provider training in overdose prevention and overdose reversal response. The VISTA will also develop structure and materials for the organization’s volunteer program and support public information messaging work using a variety of social media and other public information tools.

Member Duties : Research and document available resources, develop partnerships with germane organizations, develop communications plans, public education, and social media campaigns and obtain or develop related informational materials, develop documentation materials to sustain project operations, recruit and train volunteers and volunteer coordinators, and assist similar projects across the state
