Member Duties : Key functions:
·Support community outreach
·Assist with partner trainings
·Support meal distribution throughout Cook County, including driving a sprinter van to meal sites
·Ensure that meal distributions are tracked and documented
·Work as part of a cross-functional team that is developing and implementing strategies to strengthen communities and address the root causes of hunger
·Participate in program evaluation through an ongoing group project
·Present findings of the group project to key stakeholders at the end of the AmeriCorps term
Qualifications:
·Candidates must be friendly, outgoing, and be able to communicate diplomatically
·Experience conducting outreach and providing direct services preferred
·Previous experience with SFSP programs preferred
·Must be comfortable working with diverse populations in various Cook County communities
·Valid driver’s license required
·Age 21 or older preferred
·Bilingual Spanish preferred
