HACP - Homeless and Housing Coalition

The City of Pocatello has an established group known as the Homeless and Housing Coalition (HHC). The mission of the HHC is to increase awareness of housing struggles and the plan to address homelessness. The coalition is also responsible for the Point-In-Time homelessness count and listing the available housing units in our community. Housing coalitions can be found in almost every city and county. While made of several agencies, the HHC works collaboratively to address housing issues, provide valuable information to community members, and ultimately create changes for families or individuals living in poverty. The VISTA in this role will be an active member of the coalition by 1) promoting coalition activities 2) seeking and applying for funding opportunities, and 3) engaging with community members to increase awareness of local issues related to poverty and homelessness.
