Housing Development Coordinator

Nestled in rural northern Wisconsin, the Bad River Tribe and Bad River Housing Authority are situated right next to pristine Lake Superior. Primed to take the next step in planning and development, the goals of this community include new housing, community buildings, infrastructure, economic and workforce development. This VISTA position will have the opportunity to build the infrastructure and systems, as well as see capacity work from the grassroots level up, first hand. This is development at its rawest and purest form. Development experience in this position will be unbeatable!

Member Duties : Work with Housing Authority and Tribal personnel to collect data in the areas of zoning, land use and development. Identify needs and gaps in data. Develop methods for collection of data. Develop a comprehensive zoning, land use and development plan. Work with personnel to create a priority listing of projects and an implementation plan for each priority. Collaborate with Grant Writer and Management to identify funding.
