Mental Health First Aid Corps
 
 
 
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a public education program which introduces participants to unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in individuals, builds understanding of the importance of early intervention, and teaches individuals how to help in a crisis or with someone experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. AmeriCorps Members will serve as Mental Health First Aid Instructors, certified to teach the 8-hour MHFA-USA course to members of the public. In addition to the AmeriCorps application, please email a resume to Celia Meyer at meyer@health360.org with location preference from the list below. Please note, the program does not provide housing or relocation expense reimbursement. Member Duties : AmeriCorps members will serve as Mental Health First Aid Instructors, certified to teach the 8-hour MHFA-USA course to members of the public. AmeriCorps members will be responsible for all aspects of the training courses such as community outreach, building partnerships, marketing, participant tracking/ evaluation, and grant writing to non-Federal agencies to support MHFA trainings in the community.
