(FMBCC) FMBCC - Fresno Capital Access Coordinator

This Project’s goals are to (a) increase the hiring capacity of local diverse and firms in low-income communities through contracts and by expanding their customer base; and (b) provide low-income business owners with the resources to connect and build their own capacity. Help us to be part of the solution. The Fresno Metro Black Chamber is dynamic nonprofit business organization that serves Fresno and three surrounding counties that covers a 40-mi square radius and over 1.5 million people. Here is what we have been doing over the last year in our Supplier Diversity & Minority Contracting Program: * Hosted the Valley's only supplier diversity event, the annual Central Valley Business Diversity Expo that annually connects 100+ local and diverse businesses to supplier diversity technical assistance and to public and private sector contracting opportunities. * Presented the Get F.I.T. workshops and other forums that has educated 78 small, diverse businesses in finances, certification, and marketing. * Created tools on our website that allows for posting of diverse recruitment announcements and contracting opportunities. * Launched CVBusinessDiversity.com as a comprehensive web resource for both buyers and vendors with a calendar of locally available training & workshops, procurement best practices articles and videos, and database of business resources from start-up to certification. What will be unique about your Chamber and Fresno experience: - A desire to invest in your professional growth. - Access to a dynamic set of business and civil leaders. - The opportunity to really have an impact on a community and in an organization. - A city that is easy to navigate, affordable and centered between LA, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and two national parks.
