(FMBCC) SE FresnoCEDA- Workforce Development

The mission of the Southeast Fresno Community Economic Development Association, Inc. (SEFCEDA) is to improve the quality of life of Southeast Fresno and the Fresno area residents and promote economic prosperity by expanding opportunities in education, recreation, employment, housing and entrepreneurship for healthy neighborhoods. It does this by providing workforce training and education services for residents and spurring job growth by attracting, retaining, expanding businesses in SE Fresno. Currently, it has funding to support the Ventura/Kings Canyon Corridor Renovation to enhance the neighborhood's transportation development planning and then the Career Pathways to Prosperity program in partnership through the Fresno Workforce Investment Board. SE Fresno is one of the most ethnically and socially diverse regions of the city. The community assets and landmarks of SE Fresno include Huntington Boulevard, Roosevelt and Sunnyside High Schools, Fresno Pacific University, the Big Fresno Fair, the Mosqueda Center, and the Internal Revenue Center. The neighborhoods surrounding these landmarks stand out for the abundance of trees and greenery. The implementation of the SEFCEDA Strategy for the economic prosperity of SE Fresno will encourage the investment of resources and will promote improving economic conditions for the benefit of all Fresno region residents.
