TNT Kids Fitness & Gymnastics VISTA

TNT Kids Fitness and Gymnastics (TNT) is organized for the purpose of providing all boys and girls, regardless of age, financial, mental or physical ability the opportunity to experience the benefits of gymnastics and fitness while becoming part of our family of athletes. The officers, directors, staff and volunteers are committed to helping children to reach full potential through utilization of exercise or the sport of gymnastics to encourage expanded opportunities. TNT Kid’s Fitness is just one of two in the entire country that has total inclusion for all children with various abilities. Our local area schools indicate that more than 3,000 children with physical or cognitive limitations live in our community. This VISTA will work in partnership with Head Start to focus on school readiness for children in low income families. This VISTA position will also build a scholarship and community-based volunteer program.

Member Duties : Design a scholarship program to assist families to offer a reduced class fee. Research community, county and state funding and/or reimbursement opportunities. Track set goals/outcomes for school readiness. Assess developed programs for success and improvement Design a volunteer program
