Edfund - Program Associate
 
 
 
To bolster the number of underrepresented students who seek and attain a college degree or credentials, VISTA member will have responsibility for the high-quality execution of the Ed Fund’s cradle to career programs and convening efforts, build organizational capacity to strengthen and align internal and external programs and partners, thus moving students out of poverty and into their desired careers. The West Contra Costa Public Education Fund (Ed Fund) seeks to align K-12 educational programming, resources and regional partnerships to build and enhance pathways to increase high school to college transition, and post-secondary degree attainment for the 30,000 students in the West Contra Costa Unified School District, located in the Bay Area, the majority of whom are low income and the first in their family to attend college. VISTA members will contribute to the goals of the project by performing activities such as performing need assessments, coordinating partner activities, supporting fund development efforts, supporting effective outreach and community engagement, enhancing programs, building a student database, and strengthening partnerships to institutionalize and sustain supports.

Develop a network of cradle to career organizations and institutions, helpling the Ed Fund and the community strengthen and align data, services, and communications for students and families. Ensure major Ed Fund projects, including school grants program, scholarship program, teaching excellence awards program, and soaring to excellence program are of high quality.
