Through our programs, we offer access to a safe place to live, counseling, legal assistance, wellness activities, and so much more. Womankind is an expert in serving Asian communities, yet our services are valuable and available to all. Whether in our services or in our increasing advocacy and policy work, Womankind first centers the survivor by uplifting them to control their own lives and narratives. In addition to promoting healing and safety through service provision, Womankind promotes gender justice through research, coalition building, policy analysis, and community education and mobilization. All services are rooted in Womankind’s philosophy of supporting survivors’ rights to self-determination and self-sufficiency in building their futures (i.e., their own agency). Womankind is one of the largest Asian-focused domestic violence organizations in the United States and is a leader in providing innovative and award-winning multilingual and culturally responsive services. Womankind offers a wide variety of services in 18+ Asian languages and dialects, including: a toll-free 24/7 multilingual helpline, safe and confidential emergency residences (shelters), counseling, family law and immigration legal assistance, wellness activities, creative arts therapy, support groups, and economic empowerment workshops

Member Duties : The Capacity Building Associate is position within Womankind that plays a crucial role in moving our mission forward. This position will work specifically in the Client Services department to ensure that the culture of ongoing learning and capacity building is up kept and honored. This Associate will work on project-based tasks, to expand knowledge on priority areas determined by Client services management team. These tasks may change from year to year. The Associate will coordinate training opportunities for client services department by sourcing external partnerships and trainers that can be brought to support skill enhancement.
