SkillsRI AmeriCorps Nonprofit Development Felowwship
 
 
 
The SkillsRI AmeriCorps Nonprofit Development Fellowship (Fellows) is an intense, year-round experiential learning internship for first-generation college students, in their junior or senior year, enrolled in Rhode Island College (RIC) – School of Business, Department of Computer Science, and Computer Information Systems programs. SkillsRI AmeriCorps Nonprofit Development Fellowship will provide eligible first-generation college students an annual $21,000 living allowances for the 2023/2024 service year. Students must be highly motivated to learn and look to gain professional experience that aligns to their college major. Fellows will work with Skills for Rhode Island’s Future “RI Small Business HUB,” providing critical business and operations supports to our state's business development nonprofit agencies. Service impact activities will include seeding, strengthen and scaling small businesses through: 1. Accounting & Bookkeeping 2. Marketing & Communications 3. Business Planning & Development 4. Fund Development & Grant Writing 5. Project Management 6. Information Technology and Cyber Security 7. Human Resources 8. Data Analytics 9. Access to capital 10.Referral for Legal and other technical assistance Fellows will need to attend a mandatory Ready.Set.Serve training in October 2023, dates, time and location will be determined based on fellow availability.
