The goal of Wisconsin's Association of Free Clinics (WAFCC) is to better serve the many communities throughout Wisconsin by helping to keep every free and charitable clinic as well as health department sustainable. WAFCC does this in many ways via helping with things such as: helping to foster and develop community and inter-clinic collaboration, helping to implement best practices in the form of our standards of excellence, helping with programmatic development via policies and procedures, implementing new programs, engaging with the community, and much more. If you'd like to serve at one of our sites apply here and we will help get you connected with a clinic or health department seeking an AmeriCorps Member.

Member Duties : A AmeriCorps Member serving at one of our sites may be doing a variety of things depending on the population you're serving and what the sites needs are some of which may include: developing clinic policies and procedures, growing the sites volunteer pool, helping maintain the Standards of Excellence, helping build and maintain partnerships with schools, coalitions and other community organizations, continuing to develop the sites social media presence, implementation of community education and awareness events, increasing capacity of recovery and substance abuse treatment programs, development of educational materials and resources the community can use to slow the spread of COVID -19, building the capacity of the health department to relay scientific and evidenced-based information to the public regarding COVID -19 , and coordination of volunteers for contact tracing and much more.
