AmeriCorps VISTA Master Wellness Volunteer Coordinator

The UA Wildcat Corps VISTA project aims to empower low-income communities in Arizona by addressing critical poverty-related challenges through community-driven solutions. The VISTA member will be responsible for developing a new volunteer program in Coconino County, The Master Wellness Volunteer Program. The VISTA member will work with the Family, Consumer, and Health Science Agent for Coconino County to identify topics based on the needs of our county, i.e., food safety, food security, cooking and nutrition, health and wellness, stress management, financial literacy and more. Expert guest speakers will be recruited by the Vista to deliver research-based information to volunteers. The VISTA member will recruit and coordinate volunteers to be trained as part of the Master Wellness Volunteer class curriculum. In addition to coordinating the classroom portion of the Master Wellness program, the member will build relationships to identify volunteer opportunities for Master Wellness Volunteers at local organizations
