Fayetteville State University's Office of College Access Programs' mission is to encourage and assist youth who are traditionally under-represented in post-secondary education with preparation for, entry into, and completion of a post-secondary education. The office is comprised of Gaining Early Awareness & Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP), Educational Talent Search (TRiO) Upward Bound (TRiO), Upward Bound Math & Science (TRIO) and 21st Century Community Learning Center. The Office provides a broad range of high-quality college preparatory services to students, parents, and educators.

Member Duties : The Tutor Coordinator will support curriculum and instruction for the Office of College Access Programs. In an effort to increase graduation rates for program participants this position works toward aligning out-of-school programming with the common core standards; researching best-practices to support out-of-school activities and developing a model after-school, Saturday and summer programming support services; designing assessment tools; establishing monitoring systems for outcome performance measurement and evaluating the impact of academic support services.
