Girl Scouts of Dakota Horizons: Data Specialist
 
 
 
Major Accountabilities-Leadership 1. Actively and consistently demonstrates the Girl Scouts norms by holding self accountable for results, holding the whole, assuming good intent, taking in ideas without judgment, embracing conflict and disagreement, speaking truth in a constructive way with a goal for mutual resolution, and staying focused on our mission. 2. Demonstrates service excellence and positive interpersonal relations in dealing with others including staff, Board, and community members, so that productivity and positive relations are maximized. Qualifications: 1. Associate’s degree in business, information systems, or a relevant field preferred 2. Demonstrated experience in a similar role involving data entry, management, analysis and quality of record keeping preferred 3. Ability to make a one-year commitment to AmeriCorp Vista and Girls Scouts-Dakota Horizons. 4. Basic project management and customer service skills 5. Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for the Girl Scouts Mission as well as for customer advocacy. Strong sense of urgency and results-orientation are required 6. Understanding of and ability to analyze and interpret data and trending and translate information into recommendations 7. Familiarity with the Girl Scouts model. 8. Prior Salesforce experience a plus. 9. Exceptional written, verbal, listening and interpersonal skills with the ability to be diplomatic, persuasive, and build support and commitment 10. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products, database development, and queries 11. Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes some travel, night and weekend hours as needed. 12. Valid driver’s license with access to reliable personal transportation which is properly licensed and insured. 13. Actively and consistently demonstrate the Girl Scouts norms and culture. 14. Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance.

Member Duties : Major Accountabilities 1. Build collaborative relationships across the council, communities, volunteers, parents and Girl Scouts in order to effectively prioritize and ensure adoption and full utilization of Volunteer Systems (Salesforce). 2. Effectively partner with departments to determine data reporting needs. 3. Provide detailed reports for departments and individuals to help drive strategy and decision making and automate reporting whenever possible. 4. Assist with management, quality, and data integrity in Volunteer Systems and associated data reporting. 5. Analyze current business processes and provide recommendations to ensure effectiveness and consistency across council. 6. Draft new business processes in collaboration with departments.
