Achievement First VISTA Leader

This program is a great choice for people who are interested in working with amazing students and devoted colleagues. The Achievement First network of schools serves approximately 15,000 students in NY, CT, and RI. Achievement First schools run K-12 and offer students from all backgrounds a quality college-bound education. You will not find a more dedicated group of staff, students, and families, all working to get amazing kids to and through college. The Achievement First VISTA Leader role can be in person or telecommute. These full-time positions work to coach, train, and mentor 20 VISTA positions working in the following areas: The student programs coordinator position brings joy and engagement to the school community by building a repertoire of student events and engagement strategies. The attendance coordinator position tackles building a community of strong attendance and reducing chronic absenteeism through designing and leading intensive interventions. VISTA leaders for this program will train and help manage these positions across a network of schools. Finally, the network support position focuses student access to food services, transportation, and school recruitment opportunities, facilitating access to a great education and making it to and through college. Applying to this posting will allow you to begin the process of exploring these various locations and positions.
