EMI's Egress Community VISTA
 
 
 
Our role in the community is to support our entire Communities efforts in supporting our chosen demographics of African American Youth minority Minorities (4%) of our predominantly Hispanic communities, and to work together with those that have always done their best for this population. Building a more far reaching and sustainable community network for continued success . EMI is located at 1520 Bridge Blvd SW in the South Valley of Albuquerque NM zip code 87105. This property makes us highly visible to thousands daily because of the amount of traffic that drives by our location. There is an almost 100 year old property that we are restoring (5 Points Community Church) which will be used for a community center base for our partners. We have the unique opportunity to beautify and restore this campus for this community. At EMI we are all about sustainability, being able to maintain and grow continuously; our organization's ability to provide projects, operations and services that benefit our partners and the community served beyond the grant funding periods. The sustainability activities our VISTA’s will perform include but are not limited to: -Financial sustainability -Institutional or Organizational Sustainability -Program Sustainability

Member Duties : The Social Media VISTA will provide support to EMI Staff to diagnose and assess the functionality and efficiency of media systems. The Media VISTA will assist in creating and publishing content on all social media platforms to grow an audience and build brand awareness for EMI projects. The Media VISTA will work alongside staff to pilot new tools and launch media campaigns. The Media VISTA will advise EMI staff of management systems and help develop articles for publication.
