Provide positive youth development opportunities to youth in Day Camp and Residential Summer Camp. 2019 VISTA Summer Associates will specifically work with children from low-income families to afford them the same camping experience available to those financially secure families. Additionally, 2019 VISTA Summer Associates will assist CCE Camp Akalaka staff to intentionally modify programming/curriculum in an effort to accommodate special needs child and their families

Member Duties : Develop scholarship application for distribution. a.Assist CCE staff in scholarship soliciting and subsequent Thank You notes.b.Assist in scholarship award review process.c.Assist with programing to ensure inclusion of all campers.2.Work with Department of Social Services Day Care Unit to assist families in Day Care Subsidy application processa.Educate him/herself on DDS Day Care Subsidy application process.b.Educate/assist families with application process.c.Follow up with families and/or employers to ensure time cards are submitted regularly.d.Assist with programming to ensure inclusion of all campers
