2024-25 MFS Hunger Relief Liaison

Our programs are informed by those who participate in them, as we seek to understand what is truly helpful and transformative in our community. So much of what we do is to open spaces and connections for people who have not had a way to access what they need, or to participate in decisions that affect their lives. Through their service at sites across the greater Portland area, our AmeriCorps Members support MFS’ 3 critical community initiatives: 1. Strengthening early childhood development and empowering youth, so that every child gets a good start in life; 2. Fostering effective community-based health and wellness practices across the lifespan; and 3. Advancing individual and family economic well-being.
