VISTA Foundry Community Grants and Data Support
 
 
 
The AmeriCorps VISTA member will join The Foundry Community (thefoundry.co) a nonprofit organization in Lincoln, Nebraska, dedicated to supporting small organizations engaged in meaningful local and statewide work. The primary objective of this role will be to serve and support small nonprofits within the Foundry Community, particularly those actively involved in anti-poverty initiatives. Through a train-the-trainer model, the project aims to enhance the capacity of small nonprofits by creating comprehensive timelines and toolboxes. The AmeriCorps VISTA member will play a crucial role in developing long-term, strategies, that enable sustained growth and improvement for these small nonprofits. Objectives include1) Seek out training and onboarding programs, actively acquiring knowledge and strategies and apply them to serve nonprofits successfully, ultimately making a positive impact on the communities they serve. 2) Develop and facilitate projects in train-the -trainer model tailored to empower and support small nonprofits within the Foundry Community. This position will be an important part of the Foundry team and will collaborate closely with fellow capacity team members to serve local grassroots small nonprofit projects in the community. This is a great service opportunity for an individual who desires a broader experience in a team environment, skill-building, and autonomy in projects.

Member Duties : Serve as a facilitator in brainstorming and enhancing grant proposals for small nonprofits, ensuring alignment with grant application criteria and organizational goals. Convene and develop data collection tools such as surveys, focus group resources, and other research instruments. Analyze the collected data to identify best practices and provide actionable insights for the nonprofits being served. Enhance the impact of the small but growing Foundry Community nonprofits by providing data analysis services, including grouping and identifying data patterns, and connecting data points to their organizational value proposition and goals.
