Clean Energy Accessibility VISTA
 
 
 
Hawaii Green Infrastructure Authority Provides affordable clean energy options for low income families. Their work supports the financial wellbeing of disadvantaged and frontline communities increased access to financing for cost-saving and asset-building green technologies. The program increases participation of disadvantaged households in agency financial programs through development of outreach plans in collaboration with local non-profits, state agencies, and businesses. This role will increase agency capacity for successful community outreach and financial and energy education through data-informed identification and strategizing around high-need, high-potential communities.

Member Duties : · The VISTA shall conduct an assessment of the Authority’s website and using best practices from the websites of other Green Banks, develop, organize and curate materials to increase the effectiveness of the website in the dissemination of information regarding HGIA’s financing programs. · Raise awareness about benefits and programs related to clean energy through collaboration with energy stakeholders, community organizations, and non-profits to carry out events, social media campaigns, and publicity campaigns to educate disadvantaged communities about clean energy and agency programs. · Create digital and print media, including videos, infographics, articles, commercials, and slideshows with information about benefits of clean energy, energy and financial literacy, and agency programs. · Collaborate with environmental organizations · Connect HGIA with potential partners.
