Elepaio Social Services Grant and Fundraising VISTA
 
 
 
The overall goal of this project is to establish a grant and fundraising system that will streamline the process of identifying, applying for, and managing funds. The grant and fundraising system will allow Elepaio Social Services (ESS) to easily track and identify potential grants and donors that align with ESS’s programs around food sovereignty, food/nutrition security, food as medicine, and emergency preparedness. By the end of this term, the Grant and Fundraising VISTA will have developed a Grant and Fundraising system, templates for applying for future fundings and thanking donors, and submitted grant applications.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will focus on three key areas: creating a grant management system, establishing templates for grant applications and donor relations, and identifying and applying for at least three grants or funding sources. For the grant management system, they will identify necessary information, gather it, and pilot the system. In terms of templates, they will review current ones, develop new materials, submit them for review, and revise as necessary, including writing donor thank-you letters. Finally, they will work with ESS management to determine funding needs, research opportunities, draft applications, and submit them.
