California Conservation Corps - Education Award Program
 
 
 
The California legislature intends that Corpsmembers graduate from the CCC with good work habits, positive attitudes and broadened professional horizons and that the CCC blend academic and skills training with personal growth opportunities in order to develop productive youths who can make substantial contributions as California citizens. AmeriCorps Education Award Program (EAP) opportunities are offered to select CCC members who display motivation and commitment to the AmeriCorps program requirements. By meeting enrollment and program requirements, CCC members enrolled in EAP have the unique opportunity to represent two amazing programs, commitment to the communities they serve, and upon completion, access to benefits of both the CCC and AmeriCorps program to an education award, alumni perks and benefits, and more. The CCC has over 20 sites located across the state, duties are performed based on service location. All applicants must be currently enrolled in the CA Conservation Corps to apply.

Member Duties : 1. Serve on a crew and perform environmental, conservation, emergency response and human service projects such as the improvement and rehabilitation of public lands, trails, and waterways. 2. Perform other service duties as allowed per AmeriCorps guidelines and the scope of the grant such as energy audits/retrofits and emergency response. 3. Adhere to the rules and regulations specified in the Trainee Agreement, CCC Corpsmember Handbook, Standard Corpsmember Enrollment Agreement (and all addenda thereto), and all CCC rules and regulations; at no time engage in prohibited activities, as determined by the Corporation and defined in the Member Service Agreement (Section VIII.B). 4. Always display the AmeriCorps patch on their uniform, on the left sleeve under the CCC patch. They may continue to wear the patch once they have completed their term. 5. Sign and date monthly timesheets and recognize that the required ½ hour lunch time will not count toward service term hours.
