Research shows that the success of an organization is closely tied to the quality of its employees and acquiring the right talent can be a challenge. Employers must decide what type of people they want to attract, what recruitment message to convey and how to reach the targeted individuals. The VISTA will be a strategic partner in the development and implementation of an Equitable Talent Acquisition Program rooted in equity and with a focus of local resident sourcing and recruitment. - 18 years old - US Citizens, nationals, or legal residents - Successfully complete a criminal background check. - VISTA is a full-time commitment - Political advocacy, organizing or demonstrating while on VISTA duty, or while perceived to be on duty, is prohibited - Permits part-time employment and attendance at school during off hour

Member Duties : The VISTA will build a community engagement structure with partners including but not limited to, the School District of Lancaster, Intermediate Unit 13, Lancaster County Career and Technology Center, Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology along with various local colleges and universities. The VISTA review the City’s strategic goals, talent strategy, industry, size, location, and projected growth. Review current data on the recruitment process,i.e.,number of applicants by residence, race, gender, etc. to ascertain how equitable the program has been implemented for the city residents. The VISTA will build a network to increase the likelihood that City residents see themselves represented in the employee base and, in turn, will seek employment with the organization. The deliverables will include assessment indicators to monitor progress and create a culture of accountability for the work and a system to track and report metrics.
