All Ways Up - Minds Matter of Los Angeles Summer Associates
 
 
 
The ALL WAYS UP Foundation, in partnership with 7 LA area non-profits, is seeking 24 Summer Associates to enhance the work of our Multi-Site College Access and Success Project. The focus of the VISTA Project is to increase the number of low-income students graduating college work-force ready and financially literate. The Minds Matter program provides rigorous tutoring in math, writing and critical thinking, as well as important life skills and leadership development. Minds Matter students are assigned two mentors, who encourage and guide them through the program and the college application process. The Summer Associate will be responsible for providing support to MMLA leadership and the current VISTA through three key aereas: Curriculum Development and Assessment, College Access Support and Program Alumni, and Event Support.

Member Duties : The Summer Associate's responsibilities will focus on curriculum and program assessment, integration, and development; soliciting feedback on curriculum and program structure from current college alums; build out training for team leads and curriculum heads to be prepared for rollout of revised curriculum; assisting in identifying and implementing a system to connect with and provide consistent resources for college alumni; assist with the planning, logistics, and follow up for the Career Incubator. The Career Incubator event brings together a variety of companies with MMLA alumni, as well as other low income, first generation students from other non-profit organizations.
