WSC, Pierce County Housing Authority, Ready to Rent

Ready to Rent (R2R) assists residents of Pierce County in preparing for, obtaining, and maintaining stable permanent housing despite barriers they may have such as bad credit, evictions, owing money to a previous landlord, or criminal history. R2R provides basic financial education and a clear understanding of what landlords want and need from tenants. Participants leave with a completed master application, monthly budget, individualized document organizing system, and letters of explanation for any past issues that may impact their ability to obtain housing. Because the Ready to Rent Coordinator works with vulnerable populations, applicants must be able to pass a background check. This position is contingent on funding.
