Bridge Builders Team Lead 2022-2023
 
 
 
BRIDGES is seeking one (1) Full-time AmeriCorps member (1710 hours of service required) to serve as team lead with five (5) full-time AmeriCorps Bridge Builders® Specialists for the Bridge Builders program from August 10, 2022, to August 09, 2023. Full-time members serve with a dedicated team of AmeriCorps members and BRIDGES staff to create positive community change. Our Bridge Builders® program has three levels: CONNECT, COLLABORATE & CHANGE. Full-time AmeriCorps members serve students within the CONNECT and COLLABORATE levels as well as mentor our youth leadership groups. CONNECT offers workshops, retreat days and deep dive trainings to school and community partners serving youth in 6th – 12th grade. COLLABORATE is our year-long leadership program that serves 900 youth in 7th – 12th grade through diversity and leadership training, community actions and elective learning opportunities offered throughout the school year. AmeriCorps members support relationship building across all three levels of Bridge Builders®, helping promote and role model equity within youth and adult partnerships. The Team Lead will: - assist in the coordination of Bridge Builders® CONNECT experiences, large- scale youth events, and the CONNECT recruitment process. - provide support to the Bridge Builders® recruitment team in participant, alumni and community outreach. - provide guidance and support to full-time Bridge Builders® Specialists during their training and facilitation. - support the CONNECT and AmeriCorps Manager in team development and project management. Benefits: - Receive a stipend of $22,500 divided into 27 bi-weekly pay periods. - Train as an experiential educator and facilitator to deliver both virtual and in person experiences. - Qualify for the Segal Education Award, up to $6,495.00, upon successful completion of service - Professional training within youth development, youth/adult equity, and youth advocacy.

Member Duties : 1. Assist the CONNECT Manager with program level recruitment, scheduling and follow up for CONNECT level experiences (members will receive training in CONNECT recruitment and scheduling). 2. Assist AmeriCorps Manager with service members’ development. - Assist with scheduling service members. - Assist with the recruitment and interviewing of new service members. - Assist the Training Manager and AmeriCorps Manager with the implementation of professional development training for service members. - Attend individual and team check ins. 3. Assist with Bridge Builders® recruitment throughout the year including virtual and in-person school opportunities. 4. Coordinate with the Recruitment Team to schedule presentations during CONNECT experiences. 5. Attend and provide support at BRIDGES meetings and events, including volunteer trainings, parent orientations and community events.
