*PRC Children’s Justice Bureau – MT DOJ

The Montana Board of Crime Control 2016 annual report identified 1489 sex crimes statewide in Montana. The federal Bureau of Justice sex crime data from 2008 – 2012 states that people who live at or below the federal poverty income are more than twice as likely to be the victim of a sex crime. This project will increase access to healthcare services for low income and at-risk individuals by providing trainings and coordinating efforts across Montana for the prevention, and effective response, to human trafficking and sexual assault. Located in beautiful Helena, Montana’s state capital and the “Queen City of the Rockies,” the VISTA serving with Area IV Agency on Aging will have easy access to Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks, an expansive trail system, and endless opportunities to explore the outdoors through hiking, biking, fishing, and skiing in the heart of Big Sky Country!
