Neighbor Network Community Outreach/Marketing Coordinator
 
 
 
N4 programs are designed to build social capital and foster the sharing of information and resources between neighbors and involve all community assets in establishing a helpful, caring community utilizing a time exchange, volunteer program, information & referral system, a social program, and coming soon a community care program where caregivers to elders and people with disabilities will receive respite services. N4 currently serves citizens living in the Reno/Sparks, Nevada. We are nestled in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountain range where outdoor recreation is limitless! With Lake Tahoe only 45 minutes away, enjoy skiing, hiking, biking, and more. Reno has a rich arts culture and a wide variety of local events. At N4, we want our VISTA team members to leave their year of service ready to dream big in the nonprofit sector. We are eager to meet community-minded and enthusiastic self-starters to join our team! N4 values creativity and highly motivated team members for accomplishing our mission to link, support, and grow healthy communities in Northern Nevada. By joining N4, VISTA members will learn about an asset-based community development approach, how to collaborate with other nonprofit organizations, and what it means to design programs in a citizen-centered way. The N4 Community Outreach/Marketing Coordinator will conduct presentations to various community organizations and program offices in the nonprofit, for profit, and public sectors, meet with community members and stakeholders for feedback and increased engagement, and build connections with all community groups and neighborhoods. This VISTA member will also create N4 website content, post weekly event invites, complete daily posts on social media sites, take photos and video during events, draft flyers and brochures, write press releases, submit articles to local print media, attend local events, and assist at N4 vendor tables.

Member Duties : Community Outreach/Marketing Coordinator Goals: 1. Present to a community organization or group at least twice per month. 2. Conduct community assessments and survey individuals and organizations quarterly to build a community asset map in assigned areas. 3. Create one N4 member storyboard per month. 4. Help facilitate focus groups with stakeholders every three months. 5. Monitor and contribute to the online presence of N4 daily (including social media, blog posts, and website content). 6. Create communication processes for members who do not have access to the internet. 7. Complete member contact activities daily. 8. Assist with new member orientations, as needed.
