Pennsylvania Campus Compact -- VISTA LEADER

Campus Compact is a national coalition of more than 1,100 college and university presidents, representing some 6 million students, who are dedicated to fulfilling the civic purposes of higher education. For two decades, Campus Compact has led a growing movement to ensure that students graduate with the knowledge and experience to tackle society's most pressing issues. The organization's national office and network of 32 state offices provide training, resources, advocacy, research, funding, and information sharing to help higher education institutions create service-learning and community engagement initiatives that benefit all involved. Pennsylvania Campus Compact (PACC) VISTA members serve directly at host campuses across Pennsylvania to support programming in the CNCS focus areas of Education and Healthy Futures. PACC*VISTAs increasing the capacity of both the community and the campus to identify and address pressing community needs. PACC seeks an AmeriCorps*VISTA Leader to build upon and sustain existing support systems. We value strong partnerships and recognize the need to provide explicit tools and implicit support to ensure that AmeriCorps*VISTAs both create long-term capacity for communities and have a meaningful service and member experience. The leadership provided by a PACC AmeriCorps*VISTA Leader will explicitly and implicitly support PACC AmeriCorps*VISTAs in their efforts to reduce poverty. More specifically, and to ends of sustainability, manuals and assessment templates will be living documents and provided to PACC*AmeriCorps*VISTA members and projects for years to come.
